Help My Father Continue His Cancer Treatment
A son's appeal for his father — fighting metastatic prostate cancer in Hyderabad, India.
My name is Bala Kishore Bandanadam. I am raising funds for my father, Mr. Bandanadham Stanislaus, 68, who is undergoing treatment for advanced prostate cancer at Omega Hospital, Hyderabad, India.
He was diagnosed with metastatic carcinoma prostate in November 2024. Since then, he has undergone an orchidectomy (surgery to reduce hormone-driven cancer growth), radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Despite these treatments, the cancer has continued to progress.
His oncologists have now started him on Keytruda (pembrolizumab) — an immunotherapy drug that works by helping the immune system recognise and attack cancer cells. It is currently the most effective treatment option available to him.
Each cycle of Keytruda costs approximately ₹2.3–2.8 lakhs (~$2,700–$3,300 USD / £2,100–£2,600 GBP). Our family managed the initial costs through health insurance, but that coverage is now fully exhausted. We are now bearing the entire treatment cost ourselves.
We have done everything we can as a family. We are now reaching out to the wider community for support. Every contribution — no matter the size — will go directly toward continuing his treatment. If donating is not possible, please consider sharing this campaign.
All medical reports and bills will be shared for full transparency. Your support will directly help sustain his treatment.
